The question of whether to pursue a master's degree abroad is one that many students
contemplate. Having walked this path myself, I believe it's the right decision if you
wish for one or more of the following:
➡️ To Change Your Field of Study/ Specialise: I decided to pursue a masters in
analytics
and management because I felt the need to enhance my tech skills. Studying abroad
allowed me to access cutting-edge knowledge and training integral to my career goals.
➡️ To Relocate to a New Desired Country: If you've ever been fascinated by a
particular
country and dreamt of relocating there, pursuing your master's abroad can be a fantastic
way to make that dream come true. Remember to consider post-graduation work visas and
job opportunities to ensure a smooth transition.
➡️To Find Like-Minded People: Many students pursue an MBA or a master's program
to meet
like-minded individuals and build a lifelong network. The connections you make during
your studies can be invaluable, both personally and professionally and can help you
figure out the next step in your career.
➡️To Land Your Dream Job: A master's degree from a reputable institution can
give you
the credibility and qualifications needed to land your dream job. Prestigious schools do
carry brand names that resonate with employers.
➡️Personal Growth: Living in a foreign country forces you out of your comfort
zone,
fostering personal growth, resilience, and adaptability. This one year in London has
been transformative for me as an individual, it's been a journey of self awareness and
growth.
In my experience, studying abroad can be a game-changer. It offers not only academic and
career opportunities but also a chance to explore, connect, and grow. It's a decision
that can open doors you might never have imagined.
So, if you're considering pursuing a master's degree abroad, weigh these factors and
decide what matters most to you. It will be a life-changing decision!
