1.Popularity: It’s highly popular in Europe and Asia, but not as much in the US.
2. Curriculum: Vast range of core modules are taught that gives you enough
knowledge to
network efficiently with people from different industries. Atleast 40% of the curriculum
depends on your choice of electives, hence you can specialise in the area of your
interest through these.
3. Career Prospects: Management consulting tops the list, but MiM opens doors to
finance, business analytics, marketing, and more. The not-so-intense schedule gives you
time to network, secure referrals, and job hunt. Many job opportunities open in early
November for the following August start date.
4. Top Universities: Consider institutions like HEC, LBS, Imperial, ESSEC, ESCP,
IE,
ESADE, NUS, SMU, Bocconi, and more. Your choice should align with your goals, language
preferences, and cultural fit.
5. Variations Matter: Many universities offer MiM in different flavors such as
Masters
in International Management, Economics and Strategy for Business, and Strategic
Management. Be critical when choosing; review recent intake’s class profiles,
placements, and alumni feedback. They might seem too similar on the face of it but
applying to the wrong course at the right university can significantly impact your
admission chances.
